Handmade Wedding Invitations

let the beauty
of what
you love
be what you do

rumi

I've just finished making 36 wedding invitations for a friend.

The white card was initially splashed in an abstract expressionist way with slightly off-white paint. Collage elements were added.
Inside, details of the wedding are on a folded paper insert. Computer-generated font - Rabiohead.

I have never used mulberry (saa) paper before - it is lovely to work with & I will explore its use further. I bought the paper at Pure Impressions in Timaru & they took the time to show me how easy it is to wet the fibres & pull it apart...very much appreciated.

As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
