Answer to Prayer

Red Gold (III)
Jan 2007
Mixed media on canvas

Work in progress from series Mother's Legacy, 1020x1020x35mm.

An old friend has contacted me. She is also working as an artist.
I'm interested to see if we share the same feelings toward art practice. I find it so hard...rewarding, but intense. All-consuming.

Hallo Elizabeth

thank you for visiting my art blog and introducing yourself. And lovely that you are in South Island not so far away! I don't know about you but I find it very isolating trying to paint sometimes. And I cannot own to doing it full time ... I let too much else distract me.

I love your art and hope that you will keep up with your blog so that I can see more of it. Please may I put one of your paintings in a post to introduce you on my painting blog?

thanks for the visit

I think the blogging idea is such a great way to share. I hadn't thought too much about it until recently when I started to take an interest in reading (in particular) actually how people went about the business of working as artists.

After looking at your site, I thought I would start to add links so that my blog is also a useful tool for others.

Of course I would love to be introduced on your painting blog...a first for me! Just have a look on my website for an image you'd like to use. Let me know & I will e-mail a copy of it.

Take care.
